I have an o4 G35x. My decision on a new car boiled down to a G35 or a TL. I test drove both and decided on the G35 because, as others pointed out, it's very much a driver's car. I thought the TL was nicer inside, but the FWD really turned me off. Also, I read on this site and others that the TL had suffered from tranny problems in the past. I also liked the styling of the G35 better. I thought the TL looked kind of ordinary. I drove the TL first and then the G35 and as soon as I drove the G35, I knew that's what I wanted. My gas mileage is in the 15 to 17 l/100 km range, or 450 to 500 km per tank. That's about 99% city driving, primarily in heavy traffic. I have not, for once, regretted buying the G35. I have the AWD with all season tires and had no complaints last winter. In fact, I couldn't wait for it to snow because the car had no problem with that.
