Is It Too Soon??

I know that everyone has their own opinions but I just wanted to see when most of you are switching to your winter tires.

In the last few days with the temperature drops I've noticed my tires are not sticking real well to the road. Last night was the worst yet.

I wanted to stay with my summers on as long as I could, but I think I'll have to switch to my winter set up this weekend.

What are you guys doing? Just curious.

Chico...I put our snows on last week. I've got my summer rims and tires all waxed up and stored away for the winter.
I usually put the snows on when the outside temps start to go below 10C.
It was -1 here this morning , it's the time of year where the black ice can grab you.

Weather forecasts for this weekend in GTA is 15 degrees! I'll wait for another week. Speaking of which, what winter tire setups do you guys have? Please post the brand and tire aspect sizes!

Which is better for GTA/Hwy winters? Pirelli Snowsport 240's or Dunlop M3's?

Not a thing. I hope he's ok. Injuries from accidents like that tend to show up a few days later.

Just ordered Dunlop M3s (215/55-17) on cheap alloys from Tirerack.

I'm hoping they show up before I head to Ottawa next Thursday...

I'll be switching next week also. Gathered some package quotes last week.

So far Kipling Tire had the best package deal with 4 alloy rims, and 4 Dunlop Sport M3's (225-55-17) @ $1600.00 installed, plus tax. That beat Tireracks price.

contact harry at bigwheelz.com. he offered me the same package as yours for $1700 inclusive (taxes + shipping). mounting tires at a shop is only around 20$ (this is what i pay at active green + ross).

Best price I got for Dunlop M3's for 225/45/18's is 1380 taxes in and installed. Anyone know of a better deal?

Last year, I switched my wheels out on around this weekend. This weekend is going to be pretty nice, so I think I'm going to keep my summer wheels on for another week or two.
