Urgent help with replacing the fog blubs

Sorry for the duplicate post, but wasn't getting much attention in the lighting section.

I was in the process of switching out my summers and figured it was a good time to try some aftermarket replacement fog/high beam bulbs. After much messing around with the fender liner I finally got the bulb out however now I can't figure out how to put the retaining spring clip back on. It sort of just popped off when I was taking out the bulb. Also it is difficult to stick my head into the wheel well while having both hands full trying to get the clip into place. Any tips and or advice of how the bulb and clip are supposed to go back in will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Big *****,
I had the same problem but can't remember what I did to fix besides fishing around in there with my hands and cutting them all up. Here's a link that may help.

Thank you very much for the reply. After fidgeting around with it for about 40 minutes I finally got it back on.
Here is a tip that will save anyone else a lot of grief, make sure that you do not unscrew the screw once you take off the dust cover. When I first took the dust cover off I couldn't figure out how to take the bulb out and when I saw the screw I unscrewed it, it was then that I saw the spring clips. When I uncliped it the front part that covers the bulb fell in to the lamp housing. I was in panic mode, it took me a good 15 minutes to fish it back out and screw it back into place.
When I did the other side having learned my mistake and left the screw inplace (the retaining clip is actually held in place by the screw pressing down on the blub cover and then onto the clip). The right side only took me 20 minutes versus over 2 - 3 hours on the left side.

No problem. Glad to hear you got it back together. The photos weren't there with the links so wasn't sure how much they would help. I did the exact same thing as you except my sides were in reverse order. I spent 1-2 hours or so on the bad one and 20 minutes like you for the second one. If I remember correctly even the spring clips were a pita due to the samll space for your hands.

LOL... that sounds familiar.
I did exactly the same thing.
Except I did you one better, when I undid the screw...
The piece fell into the headlight...I had to go fishing
