snow in tomorrow's forecast (gta) ?
snow in tomorrow's forecast (gta) ?
what's up with the weathernetwork these days?? a co-worker this morning mentioned snow for tomorrow... and i was like 'are u nuts?'. so i looked it up on their website and sure enough they're showing a chance of snow. i checked environment canada and they don't even mention it at all. still running the summer's on mine and didn't intend to swap them out until the end of the month (it's still in the 10's here for goodness sake). +15 next week in the forecast. environment canada seems to be the only reliable source these days.
I heard the same thing this morning on 680 News. But they said a rain with a chance of snow. I'm still running on my summers too.
Then after Friday, back to highs of 13 degrees.
Funny, I just checked Environment Canada's site and they say a mix of sun and cloud.

You must love that job...you can be wrong everyday and still have a job the next day.
The worst forecaster is Harold Hussein from City TV. Everytime he's on TV, he looks like he just rolled out of bed and watched the other channels and re-worded what they said.

LOL Chico......funny.
The weather these days is a real tossup, and will include some snow flurries from time to time since we're getting quite a bit of precip.
It shouldn't amount to much tho, and certainly won't stay on the ground and not likely cause any issues.
I'd still get the snows on ASAP, tho, just to be safe.
It may cost a little in treadware on the warm days, but at least you're ready for that unexpected 'dump'.
Good luck peeps, and be safe..
Colin.

Update:
Within minutes of finishing the above post, we got an intense thunderstorm accompanied by a downpour of rain, and topped off with a half inch dump of pea sized hail!
Scared the hell out of the kids. Damned weather is going bonkers....
At least we haven't got his with the crap they had out west yet. Some of those poor peeps have been snowed in already and in a mess.
Gord, What's happening out your way, bro????

Altho it may be wet, it's not supposed to be that cold. If that holds true, you should be fine.
Colin
Droppin the G off tomorrow at 8 to put her mitts on. Got too cold and wet real quick up in Elmira this morning.
Didn't get the hail tho Colin. Your just a lucky guy. Hope the kids settled down.
How long did the hail stay formed?

What a day for weather.....real mercurial.....
The hail was hard and fast for about 10 minutes but it was 10 degrees so it melted in about 15 minutes.
It's some weather we've had lately.....

Too bad the kids got scared. They mustn't take after their old man.
I'm hoping for a light winter. Good for the business, the joints and the early awaking of the G.

The kids probably were scared at what I was saying about the weather.
Every time it took a bad turn, I cussed it out, all the while they cuddled together on the couch.
I stroked and kissed them after it was all over, and gave them a special treat.
Only thing they really get upset about is the thunder----poor Sid growls and barks loudly at it.
They're ok now, (but I'm still shaken.....
)Hope you're weather doesn't get too crazy during the bad spell this week.
Keep the hatches battened and your head down.
