2005 Brake Calipers/Rotors
2005 Brake Calipers/Rotors
I know I should also post in the Brakes forum... which I will do as well... but wanted to get local (Canadian) input as well
I have an opportunity to purchase the calipers and rotors from a 2005 coupe. My car is a 2003.5 Sedan.
What I wanted to find out... can/will these calipers/rotors fit my car?
I guess one way would be to find out if the hub support, which the calipers bolt to, are the same Nissan/Infiniti part no.
Or... if someone has already looked into or done this to their car.
The reason being...I'm almost at the end of my 60,000km brake warranty.
Thanks in advance for your input!!

They will fit. I know this because I bought a StopTech BBK for my 2005 Coupe. I didn't realize that the kit was only approved for 2003/2004, but it did fit my stock mounting points. Thus, if the StopTech Kit fits 2003-2005 with the same mounting hardware, then I know that the mounting points for the 2003s and 2005s are the same. You could also try to call other aftermarket brake manufacturers and ask them if ther 2003 kits will fit a 2005. If they also agree, then you know the mounting points are identical.
Thanks johnadlertech and hayaku !!
It makes sense to me that Nissan/Infiniti would NOT have changed the hub supports and the 2005 piston/caliper would bolt up the same.
Thanks also for the advice on contacting aftermarket suppliers
I'll provide more feedback when I do the change...
