Thumbs up suspension mods done

Hey guys

I just had my 350Z springs, Tokico DSpecs and Stillen sways F&R installed along with a good alignment. My dealer has a younger tech that specializes in mods and high performance stuff so it was good talking and working with him. The tech said I have the only suspension modded G he has seen in Halifax. Service writers, techs, service mgr kept asking me if I was going to track it.

Now about the car. I only drove the car about 10km in these colder temps with my Pilot sports so can't comment on how the set up really performs and I think the shocks will take a few kms to flush out any bubbles. Car is back in storage now for a while. I did notice how the car is flatter on the corners and a little stiffer right now. Sway settings are medium F&R and 4 turns from firm on shocks. I love the slightly lower stance and reduced wheel gap. Just right for me. BTW, we measured the '05 Z springs against my '04.5 coupe springs- exact same spring diameter F&R so think they're the same rates. I'll have more in the spring to report on the handling and ride.

Once again thanks Ian for the suggestions and for answering my numerous pms. Really appreciate it and love the set up so far.

I have access to it most any time and will be taking it out periodically on nice days that's for sure.

LOL You're on the ball Andy!!! Thanks!

It's been a very warm January so far so could actually drive the car some, however it's stored in an undergroung parking garage about a half hour from my house. We're supposed to be over 50 next couple of days and 60 on Sunday! That's nice for here when we're usually a bit below freezing.

Deane, You got her out of storage.....wow, you just couldn't wait 'til April huh......good for you. Might as well 'make hay' while the sun shines.. Sounds like it's staying nice there.....it has here too. I even had the M around the block a couple of times to stretch her legs... Snow and salt were gone so out she went.

Your aready good handling Coupe sounds even better now....kudos.
It's great to have a mod friendly dealer isn't it...

I look forward to seeing the 'Red Rocket' in the spring.

C.

yeah it has been nice here, took my baby out around a few blocks and tested the V1, and it actually caught the cop at the don valley and don mills area. Thank god I have my conceal display in the ashtray making my v1 look like a garage opener. hehehehe

Annoying part is passing by all the plaza with auto doors thank god for the mute bbutton. Working on the sound system and install defi gauges soon.

Thanks Colin. You're right, I just couldn't wait. This weather has been nice but still a bit wet here.

Good to hear you had the M out as well.

I didn't realize the dealer was so mod friendly until I started talking about all of my installs and such. The tech was interested in the grounding wires and especially the plenum spacer.

We'll soon find out just how much better handling it is.

Deane

Hi, I got them from Motorsports Direct in Las Vegas -1 800 245-1001 (Matt Lewison). Ian suggested them to me. They were US $485 + $60 shipping via USPS. I paid $89.59 GST also and no duty.
