Re: Merry Christmas to all
You still running around with dirty wheels? Shame on you!!!!! Hahahaha. Yeah, I had to choose Silverstone this time--- first time without red for about 20yrs. Time for a change I suppose.
I'll just have to get used to the more 'subtle' look. The car's "in your face" enough anyway, right? If you see any of the guys then say 'HI' for me...........Later (and clean those wheels)

Re: Merry Christmas to all
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I can't wait for the next Meet in Mar/Apr. Should be a lot of fun!
Anyway, Last night I was on Hwy#7 and it seems like everyone wants to race me in my Coupe. I really didn't want to race because I have on my 18'' Blizzak LM 22 tires but I couldn't resist. The road was empty, so I had this race with these two other cars. I was in the left lane with my Silver G35 Coupe, then there was this guy in a white Honda Prelude in the middle lane, and then another guy in the right lane with an Acura Integra (I don't think it was a GSR). I even gave them a handicap, because I left it in Auto and I didn't turn off the VDC. Off the start, I hit the gas a bit hard so I slipped a little, I was behind about 1/2 a car length to the Prelude, then a regained my grip and punched it. Damn!!! I blew by both of them. I was now doing about 120km....and I paused a sec to look behind at my 2 car length lead. The Acura guy stopped but the Prelude guy wanted more. He tried to pass me. So I gunned it again. I went all the way up to 180km and he couldn't gain an inch. Then I pumped the brakes to let him know it was over. We cruised together all the way back to Richmond Hill, he wanted to race again but there was traffic so that was that.

Hey Ablv009, dusted off a couple of 'rice rockets' eh? Sounds like no contest... hahaha. Be careful with the Blizzaks on - ther're a bit 'slippery' compared to the summer rubber. All these stories of the Coupe are making me anxious for mine. Will be sweet when it arrives. Can't wait for the spring and fine weather. Will be nice to ponder some NISMO parts when they get here. ..........Keep the rubber down and watch out for the 'man'...... Safe holidays .....Later

Happy Holidays guys !!
I had my second oil change done on 24th, and they also did this Headlight recall thingy ( didn't even there was one?? ). I asked them about my car sliding off an inclined drive way and was told the problem is definitly with the tires as they did check my breaks and all. So that's it.
Got some news on the 6MT in Canada. It will only come in 2 packages, starting at $42,500, which includes what the sedan has now, plus Premium package and Aero. Everything else from the list I am seeing here is EXACTLY the same, EXCEPT, for the 6MT, it will not have Rear A/C vents and no driver entry assist. The next level up is obviously with the NAVI, which comes out to be $45,900. I think they did a good job pricing the car, just wish that I had waited a year to get this one. Ah well, you can't have them all....
Anyways, if you wake up early tomorrow, don't forget to watch TSN at 10am, their sepcial one hour show to introduce the COTY.
Cheers

Hey Stalker, Staying out of trouble? I'm glad to hear the G is back in shape. Prices are good on the 6 M/T Sedan, Sounds like you might be tempted if the price is right? Check it out - you might be surprised- hell you only live once.
Thanks for the heads up on TSN Saturday at 10. Will have to record that.
Play safe and Happy Holidays.............

Sorry man, I got the time wrong. It starts at 10:30am, hopefully you didn't miss it.
In any case, the eventual winner is........ MAZDA 6?!!! Even one of the guy ( Jim McKenzie) on the show said the show got it wrong, and it should have been the G. Ah well, can't win them all. Nevetheless, it's an hour well spent.
The only reason I would have gone for the 6MT is because of the price, and that alone will always be my reason to go for manual transmission. It's not like I miss it if I don't have it ( I still have the Z in manual ). I just thought the 6MT G priced very nice for our Canadians.
