Don't buy Candian Tire reflex blades
So I've had my car for about a year and a half and the last 1" of passenger side wiper started to crack and wasn't making proper contact with the windsheild. I figured that it was due time to replace them so I bought a set of those reflex blades (stupid power of advertising). About 2 - 3 weeks of having them on, the passenger side blade starting losing contact, now after just over a month there is a nice 3" section at the end that doesn't get swept by the passenger blade. Looks like the flimsy metal frame that gives the blade the curved shapped isn't strong enough to apply proper pressure to hold it against the windsheild.
The next time I'm going to replace the blades with the OEMs. |
Bosh blades are nice have them on my winter car.

Bosch is coming out with a Premium 'Full contact" blade similar to the Reflex blades. I believe it's rubber coated for its entire length, similar to the Audi/VW blades.
I'm not sure about cost or availability yet, but they may be worth waiting for. |
Thanks for the feedback bigwilly.
Bought these for my wifes Ford Escape last year & they work great. Much better than anything else we've used. Must be related to the windshield shape?? I was going to get them for the G, but maybe I'll try the new Bosch when they come out. If you hear any more about availability let us know Gord. Anyone else have recommendation? |
bosch icon blades are what you want. they are also known as bosch aero twin blades

I've used the Reflex on my 2k2 Maxima and they were fantastic. That being said, I've known more people having problems with Reflex than should be out there. Among them:
- Marauder - chattering; - Acura EL (think that's the model, little civic thing) - chattering; - Saab 93 - chattering, 3-4" of no contact on passenger side; When I bought my snows from Tirerack, I ordered the Valeo wipers, which are the OEM for Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW, etc. These are terrific on the G. I've had them on since November and I don't get any chatter or missed portions of wipe area. They also do a great job of wiping the windshield at highway speeds when I need to use the washer. Among the best I've ever had (I think the over-engineered fluid dispensing system has something to do with this as well...) The Valeos weren't cheap, but great vision is well worth the money. That being said, I will be keeping my eye out for the new Bosch. |

Thanks for the info Bigwilly. I was looking to get new blades too and was considering to purchase the reflex blades. I guess I'll wait a little longer!
Ian thanks for the link, they do look like a good blade. |
group buy for bosch wiper blades? :P
time to bling up the wiper blades! |
OK guys, I found a source.
I've had a reply regarding application for the G35. Apparently the blades are coordinated for driver & passenger sides with different spring rates. I've also inquired about group purchasing.... I'll let you know. |
Same blades for summer and winter or are they strictly for winter?
