I was just looking around Canadian Driver this morning and they have an article on the IS 250. It is an OK car, but there is no way in hell I would pay almost $45k for one!! Not worth it one bit IMO.

The end of the article it lists all the competitors and pricing. IMO there is not one vehicle on that list that had the combination of value/performance/looks/reliability/features that the G35 has. Of course I probably have a biased opinion but that's okay.

Article. http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/hl/06is250.htm

It's a nice car but because of the 2.5 engine it doesn't belong in the G35 class or along with the others they have listed. I haven't driven one on the road but have been in one at a client's store in Halifax. High quality interior but tight for space and nice exterior shape. The 350 is in the class as the G but more money.

I always managed to keep a manual sports car and an auto daily driver. My wife has always had her own auto since she can't use a stick!

i liked the older design of the dash cluster than the new one..the new IS dash is so plain....it's like driving some bland regular car like a corolla or something :P

A previous girlfriend talked me into an automatic Maxima. That says it all.

My wife learned on manual and loves every opportunity to drive my car. No way she would even think to talk me into anything but a manual.

That's cool. I've tried to show my wife how to drive a standard.

The first time was years ago and was followed a couple of hours later by a visit to my home by the RCMP. Neighbours had reported a suspicious vehicle maching our Ranger 4x4 prowling the neighbourhood. There was a lot of stop, start, stall going on.

I taught my sister how to drive a stick -- she tried to make a shift in the midst of turning the corner and ended up in the on-coming lane with cars swerving and braking to avoid us.
Afterwards she was mad at me... and I didn't care because I was happy to still be alive.
Twenty years later and she still reminds me. But inspite of this she now drives a stick shift.

Was at the stealership yesterday and was speaking with one of the salesmen. He stated that the new coupe was in Toronto( March 16) on display for all the suits to check out. Sorry, no public invitations he said.

He had mentioned that the new G37 sedan woud have a 6 speed manumatic available and its lines were similar looking to the new coupe. It would be on sale by September( hopefully).

I would presume he meant the coupe concept...

The final product better meet the expectations. There is so much hype right now, Infiniti must not fail.

This segment is getting very competitive, acceptance of this new release is critical

Ian,

I'm not sure if he ment an actual coupe or the concept car. He just said " coupe" to me.

I forgot to mention that he said Infiniti was coming out with a G wagon and a good possibility of a convertible coupe( coupe roadster).

Has anyone heard of these posibilities?

convert & wagon are old rumours...
There are some old PS pics floating arround here some where...

Can't really see a wagon..such a small market segment.
A hardtop coupe conv whould be really nice
