Introduction: TorontoG

Hi everyone,

I would just like to introduce myself. Board name is TorontoG for lack of anything creative. I am looking forward to getting my G in the next couple of weeks as I have signed all the papers to trade in my 2001 Honda Civic.

Some Background: With my Civic I was involved in many shows, placing in most of them. With the G, my plan is to do clean subtle mods (suspension, wheels, etc), but who knows, it may turn into a show car.

I have lots of questions about the G, being as none of my friends have one and lots to learn (I do all the work on my cars, myself)

Couple of quick Q's:
- Are there regular meets/track days/events?
- Do the '06 projector headlights fit into the '03/'04s?

Thanks guys/girls,

Hope to meet you all soon

Welcome TG, and congrats on the soon-to-arrive G. (Coupe or Sedan???)

Post up pics when she does arrive and show us your pride and joy.

We've got some show cars in our ranks, so you'll be right at home if you decide to go that route. Sounds like you've done well with the showings.Kudos

Until this year, we've mostly had just unscheduled p/lot meets, but I'm hoping to see a few races at various tracks this year and have more meets at various venues perhaps with more content.

We have some racers too, one of whom is Balzz (Shane) and he'll be glad to hear of another enthusiast/racer.
There's been some talk and interest in a meet at Mosport this year. We're hoping that's do-able.

Any input would be appreciated, so if you've got any suggestions, don't be shy.

We've tentatively set up a meet at Square One Mississauga on April 23rd. to kick things off this year and hoping for a decent turnout. (and weather. )
Only a meet and chat in the p/lot and possibly some eats afterwards.

Hope to meet up soon, and we hope your ride arrives as expected.
G/L
Colin

P.S.- almost forgot....Please add your name to our area members list:
HERE

P.P.S. - Can't help with the headlights, but I'm sure someone here has that answer.
C.

Just wanted to jump in on the headlight question

Hey TorontoG,
Welcome aboard!
Yes, the '06 headlamp assemblies fit right into the 03-05 models, the change being that the previous models ran on D2R bulbs and the new assemblies require D2S bulbs. But assuming you were going to upgrade to 6,000K of 8,000K bulbs, you have the perfect opportunity to change them right there!
Looking forward to seeing your creation at the upcoming meets!
Cheers,
Al

LOL, Eric, the modding started a month after I got it her last March ....remember the exhaust mod to true dual?
...and there's an intake in the works for sometime this spring.....

If I track it, it won't be every weekend tho......I'm thinking I'll go out once and try it... we'll see ; No promises..

Up until recently, I was headed in the opposite direction...I never thought I'd end up on a track somewere, so at least I'm entertaining the notion...

haha, It's easy to talk so bravely from this 'distance'......The closer it gets to race-day, the harder it'll be.

Poor Braden, He's going to think "wow, for an admin he sure ruins people's threads".........
