Yet another spring Question
Yet another spring Question
Ok I know everyone always asks questions regarding springs but I have a couple of my own questions if you guys could answer. I like many of you am planning on lowering the car in the spring but I'm actually NOT looking for a stiff ride nor do I need the car to handle like its on rails I do allot of city driving and my wife and kids are in the car allot so I want it to ride as close to stock as possible. My G (sedan) came with the Aero pkg witch included the stiffer suspension, I like the ride now but the car sits too high can any of you recommend a good setup for me to drive all year round?
I know its a hard thing to ask but any advice would be appreciated I know its inevitable that the car will be a little more stiff with aftermarket springs and that's ok. One more thing did any of you notice more squeaks and rattles after the springs were installed cause this is my pet peeve my car has to remain tight.
Thanks

I'm no expert myself, and have just made my suspension decision (d-specs and 350z springs) which will be installed in a few weeks.
As I was researching I did talk to a few people on this site, and learned that both the Tein H-tech and Eibach Prokit will lower you about an inch (assuming you're going with the springs made for the G not the Z), and the ride feels quite nice because the springs are progressive (i.e. softer for the first bit of travel). So I think either of those would satisfy your needs.
I wanted something that handled very well, so I chose the d-spec combo. From what I hear, because the shocks are adjustable, you can get a ride that is as soft or as hard as you'd like, but it costs a fair bit more than just the springs.
I'm sure others will give a better explanation than me.
