G35 Ad
Did anyone see this ad in today's Toronto Star. It was on Page A26 and was a full half page.
I thought it was pretty neat at describing it's power and showing it chewing up the pavement in it's parking spot.
Hope you can read this okay, it is a bit grainy since I just snapped a pic of the ad with my camera from the paper

Cool ad Wayne....BTW, does that bring back some memories from the 60's and 70's???

the pic kinda doesn't make sense. the car is reversed in, yet the part of the road that's ripped off the ground by the sedan's power is placed like ti was moving forward. Plus the car is parked now (wheels not moving).
I get what they're trying to say, but i think they could've done better, like if the car was leaving the parking spot or something.

Not much more realistic than when the Roadrunner bunched up the highway behind him like a folded ribbon (Meep! Meep!)
The Infiniti ad that I did like was the TV spot with the sedan in a controlled drift on a sweeping turn as you listen to the exhaust note.

ummm... it sort of portrays that G's get stuck in parking spots more so then the power that they put down chewing up the pavement. I think this concept would work better if they had the car taking off with the pavement being chewed up in the process. Not the car being parked with the pavement chewed up underneath it. That makes it look like the guys tried to leave, and despite all that power and chewing up the pavement, he's still there. While this pic was taken the guy is on a payphone calling for CAA assistance. If anything, it's more of a commercial for the tires! Look! Despite all that power being put down by a retarded driver incapable of leaving the parking spot, the pavement and concrete got demolished, not the tires!
Nice ad. It's been running for at least a 4-5 weeks now in daily papers. I saw a few flaws in it myself but that's not the point. It clearly builds the performance image of Infiniti.
