Thoughts on Grubbs Performance...?
Thoughts on Grubbs Performance...?
I'm flying into Dallas-Fort Worth on Monday and was thinking of picking up some junk for the G at Grubbs before the trip back on Friday... any thoughts on buying from them? Any items they sell that I should be cautious of?
Thanks guys!

Also, what is the value of this stuff? I plan on getting corner markers & maybe pedals, so this will chew up my $200 CDN allowance to bring back into the Canada at no tax or duty. If the stuff is small dollar or small in size, I don't always declare it.
If things go well with the client next week, I may be making this trip every other week for the next few months... so there may be other opportunities here.

well the aluminum piece is like 60 bucks i think, and the ac control is like 199, but you can put that control in your jacket pocket and then no declare it. simple. Let me you if you are willing to do it. If you can't make it I understand as well.

I made it by Grubb Performance this morning. Wasn't what I had expected... I was expecting a performance shop of sorts but it turned out to be a parts counter at a dealership... albeit a very nice dealership.
I know some people have had hit & miss luck with the place but I have to say that I was pretty pleased with the people I dealt with (Alan, I believe).
Considering a couple other possible mods to pick up before flying home on Friday... any thoughts on the intake options they offer up? I guess the first step up would be the Z-tube for $70. From then on, the price jumps a fair bit, so it better be a pretty good bang for the buck.

I ordered intake and clear corners from them. Was happy with delivery and packaging.
Those who bitch about Grubbs do not read their site policy. They don't present themselves as tuning shop, but as dealership. So they bill you in full for parts they don't have in stock.
Quote from their FAQ
Q: Why is my credit card charged at the time I place my order?
A: The first thing to understand is that first and foremost we are an automobile dealership not an online parts company or mail order house. Our mainframe computer system is a Nissan Corporation required system named InfinitiNet. We use this system for all accounting, billing, ordering and inventory control.
