Our criteria as to who can stay totally baffles me.

We have hundreds of known criminals here illegally and we can't get them out of the country until they exhaust all their appeals... which could take up to TWO years!

This is yet another example of a totally messed up system

 

WTF, how can any government officials exercise their duties by taking people's children as hostages... unless if those are murderers or criminals, then fine! but cmon, do you really need to threaten the kids like this just to get their parents, who are illegal immigrants?

 

Actually, government is 100% logical-they do such things because it is EASY.

It is much more difficult to track down criminals and terrorists. If it is too difficult, then it is not worth doing.

 

Agreed..........victimize the victims it's so much easier. We deport people who should stay and nurture people who should be deported.If someone wants to come to this country and WORK I say welcome them!

 

Unfortunately it is people with known criminal histories that can afford the Appeals lawyers...
Sadly... the hard-working ones trying desparately to build a new life for their families in Canada are often the ones we deport.
The flip side is... sometimes their desparation drives them into the criminal world due to the lure of the money.
