StreetDeck solution?

I was wondering if someone could clear something up for me.

On the mp3car.com site, there's a StreetDeck Car Computer Solution listed. Is that the same thing as the G35 stealth case/StreetDeck solution that had been discussed earlier?

Reason I ask is because I'd like to get started on getting a pc installed, and want to know if I should wait for a G35-specific StreetDeck solution (and if so, how long), or whether it's worth it to go ahead with a different implementation.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

no. The stealth PC is simply a case for mounting a mini itx motherboard inside the spare tire well.

streetdeck is a full hardware and software combo. The currently do not sell the software by itself, which means getting the stealth case would do you no good as you would be supplying your own hardware but not have the streetdeck software.

They said they plan on releasing some vehicle make/model specific versions of streetdeck at some point, I would suspect the G35 will be on the list as God_of_CPU is an avid g35 enthusiast and is also a streetdeck developer.

Well, I certainly hope so... I don't want to wait several months, as I'd like to install both a car PC and the OEM Sirius receiver (now that the new PAC switch is compatible with it), and would like to do it all at once.

There will be a G35 StreetDeck solution. Theres over 30 parts we have to assemble to make it happen though and I think we are still waiting on the Pentium M heat sinks to make it a product. Once things get settled with shipping out the 2005 screens, this will probably pop up on the mp3car store.

StreetDeck doesn't support sirius radio yet, it probably will sometime this year, but probably later rather then sooner.

will this all work with the Bose stereo... bluetooth etc.. or separate speakers?
I've been looking at this too.

it will ship with the PAC-AAI-NIS2, so you can run it with the stock Bose system, even if you have factory satellite radio installed.

The streetdeck solution will NOT integrate with the factory bluetooth capabilities, nor will it integrate with the factory satellite radio.

In essence, the car PC will play out of the stock Bose HU and speakers, but that's it- StreetDeck will use the Stock Bose HU and speakers as a something to connect it's "Speakers" port to (just as you might connect your home PC's speaker port to a home theater receiver).
