PC 7424 vs 7336

Is there any reason not to get the 7336 over the 7424? They both seem to have the same specs. But the 7336 is cheaper and is available at Lowes. I just want to know if anybody uses the 7336 for polishing. I know lots of people use the 7424, and I myself was going to buy one, but then I saw the 7336. Comments?

They're the same, except the 7336 comes with a larger counterweight designed to accomodate larger backing plates (6"), otherwise they are identical in every respect. Mine is a 7336 from Lowes, but if you switched it with a 7427 you would never know the difference.

The 7336 is definitely better if you plan on using Edge pads because you don't have to upgrade the counterweight

7424 - comes with 5" counter weight (good for pads 5" and smaller), you would have to upgrade to 6" to make sure you don't get much wobble with larger pads

7336 - standard 6" counter weight ... can use for almost any size pad.
