Pert Plus Shampoo
Hey guys. Tell me if you have ever heard of this. I was over my friends house the other day washing our cars and he had another buddy over who used to own a detailing business. When he went to wash his car, he put Pert Plus shampoo into the bucket. He said he's used Pert Plus for years as the wash because of all the "silicons" in it. I was skeptical but after he was done washing, it literally looked like he just waxed the freakin car. I really couldn't believe it. Best wash i've ever seen IMO. So what did i do? On the way home I stopped by the store and picked up some PertPlus Shampoo and Conditioner (Extra Conditioning). I've used it on my DG coupe a couple times now and its amazing.
isnt that a little too strong for the G's paint? might mess up clear coat if it starts to dry in the sun. just my opinion.
i always just use dawn dish soap if im riding really dirty

Dawn soup is pretty bad on your car man... Keep using that and your clearcoat is going to haze. It's good for prob a 1x a year type wash/overhaul.
What is the point of using the Shampoo? If you want something really soft, there is alot of extremely soft soaps out there at the hardware store... Shampoos such as the ones used to clean newly waxed floors etc are very very soft.. They basically bubble up and are extremely slippery.. They prob won't clean anything off your car except dust.. If that's what you're looking for. I tend to use something extremely soft every other day or weekly (with NXT quick detailer or spray wax). Every other month I use NXT car wash. I try not to wash my car with anything harsh since it will wear down the clearcoat faster and swirl it up faster if you are using something not very lubricant.

Dude.. Pert Plus contains Ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS).. which is... CH3(CH2)10CH2OSO3NH4 (I think I got that right)...
It will cause your skin to irritate and will dry anything out left on an extended amount of time. If you plan on washing your car with that.. I suggest doing one panel at a time and rinsing it off completely..
Yes it does "Lift alot more than dust".. which is my argument.. Why would you want something that cleans more than dust on your paint? What else are you cleaning off your car? Especially if you are cleaning your car frequently such as washing weekly with a SOFTER soap, you will prolong the paint's life and you won't have to use harsh solvents. That ALS chemical mixture is also found in dishwasher detergent concentrate (which is watered down when mixed into dish washing soap).
Your buddy was probably using it on cars he cleaned.. what.. every 6 months? Which would be fine.. but if you plan on using that EVERY wash.. your paint is going to dry out pretty damn fast.
This is basically what you're putting on your car..
lol..
