Static Charge and dust?

Static Charge and dust?
Hi All. I've been noticing that after I 'do the car', dust seems do just jump onto the lower rocker panels and lower door sections. There is not an unusual amount of dust in my neighborhood, and it's almost as if it has a static charge to it or something. Maybe it's from the microfiber towels I use to remove the wax?
Anyone else run into this?

Re: Static Charge and dust?
yeah a lot of waxes, be it natural or not, are dust attractors.
CG (crystal gaurd) does attract dust, but it is tolerable.
However after a day's outdoor parking...after jumping onto the freeway for 15 minutes, nearly all of the dust seems to fly right off...except for the rear bumper/trunk area, but thats expected because of lack of aerodynamics back there. I just use the california duster back there every couple of days - just a couple of swipes back and forth w/ little pressure of course.
on a side-note, CG on the center console seems to repel dust w/ ease, it is super easy to clean and will keep those minor scratches off - like the ones that occur when cleaning the interior
