Removing swirl marks on clear bra????

Ok so I've decided my car needs some lovin since its has quite a few swirl marks that I inherited from the previous owner. The one thing I noticed today though is that the clear bra itself seems to have swirl marks..... can these also be removed by polishing the car? Or is it more permanent then swirl marks in the clear coat?

The tiny scratches/swirl marks you see in the clear bra are permanent and cannot be buffed out like swirl marks on a painted/clear coated surface.

I have the same swirl mark type scratcheds on my clear bra as well. It is unavoidable...

Alright thanks for the info. Now its just a decision on whether I just want to remove it or pay for it to be replaced. Swirl marks are pretty bad and there are also a few rock chips in the clear bra as well.

that's not true, i'm pretty sure swirl marks in the clear bra can be polished out.... there's a plastic polishing compound that my detailer said he can use

Based on the material, I would think you could easily do more damage than good when trying to remove the swirls from the bra. That being said, if I were going to try, I would look into some of the Plexus products or the products used for polishing aircraft canopies.

Let us know how it comes out.

i dont have an answer..... but i would suggest that if you do use anything to try and buff it out, try it in a small in-conspicuous spot first!!!!

Q. Can I use wax over Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film?
A. Yes. When waxing the vehicle, some wax may build up along the film edges. This can easily be removed when dry with a soft cloth, such as a 3M™ High Performance Cloth. Do not use any waxes containing dyes or waxes that are not recommended for urethanes. Abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds are not to be used.

Try some Meguiar's Scratch-X, Zaino Plastic Polish, or Novus.
