Scraped rim; what to do? :(
Scraped rim; what to do? :(
Over the weekend, I hit a curb that I couldn't see pretty hard and now I have a couple scrapes on the edge of one of my 18" stock rims. This sux, but it's bound to happen to everyone eventually, esp. at night in a dark parking lot w/ bad lighting (as in this case). It pains me every time I go to clean the rims off and have to see that; grrrr! ...Anyway, does anyone know a way to touch up these imperfections to make them less obvious? Thanks.

Not a bad idea...if only I weren't leasing the car.

Re: Scraped rim; what to do? :(
What about gunmetal rim? I have gunmetal color alloy wheel, and also hit the curb while parking and have some scratch and it looks bad since the scratch looks white(constrast to gunmetal color). Anyone have good idea of fixing that??

yeah, use some touch up paint, and then maybe some finishing compound..... i dont know of the exact color-match paint.
