You'll be best served by going to a professional detailer since you don't want to purchase a PC. Trying to remove all of the damage you describe by hand is more than you would want to tackle unless you just want to hide it with fillers.

Bringing your vehicle to someplace that knows how to actually remove swirls and not just cover them up can be hard to find. I suggest searching on autopia for area detailers.

You can remove the majority of the swirls with a Porter Cable and probably two polishes. I use the Menzerna Intensive Polish (orange cutting pad) and Final Polish II (white polishing pad) although there are others out there that work too. You can read more about polishing here. You certainly won't remove every imperfection but you will remove a lot of them and any oxidized clear coat. This is a great skill to learn and its nice to have the products so you can fix any future problems yourself. Post here if you need more info about how to do this.

i know what it's like to take a car through those brush car washes ... trust me, u need a machine to even start.

if you don't want to spend 150-170 for machine, pads, products, then I suggest you spend that same amount, if not more, at a pro-detailer.

hey, it's better than repainting the car, right? trust me, it'll be one of the best "mods" you've done to your car.

Oh yea if you do go to a professional detailer ask them how they will remove the swirls. If the polish doesn't include some sort of polish or compound then the polishes won't come out. When I do professional details that include a base exteiror and swirl removal my prices range from $170 - $300+, avg price would be around $240 for just swirls and a coat of sealant. A good polish job takes time and if the offer seems to good to be true, it just might be. Let us know how you make out and if you have any other questions.

otherwise, i recommend you invest in a random orbital.
