maybe 5 minutes? I use NXT wax and usually I just put it on 2 panels, and by the time im done applying wax on the second panel the first one is pretty hazy and ready to be wiped off.

Apply as it says on the bottle..

Start with a panel.. work your way through completing the vehicle. Let it haze (usually for me, I'll wait about 30 minutes).. then wipe first where you started.. and bam you're done

I did a 5 step detail on my car's exterior for the very first time last night too...used NXT Wax as well, and waited about 30 minutes...the wax was completely dry, though it wasn't invisible when I wiped it off...I can still see some streaks here and there, in the pattern that I wiped it off. I tried using a circular motion, but my arm is a poor substitution for an orbital.

i let NXT cure about 45min at around 55-60F. I would do 30min if higher
than 70F.

i like using Griot's SprayOn wax afterwards... super warm shine with
slickness. NXT alone is too shiny for me. the SprayOn wax controls
that shine and gives it more deep natural reflection.

When I used it before switching to Zaino, I waited ~30 minutes. Just go inside, have a beer or two and then go finish.

The longer you let it sit on the shinier i think it becomes. I left mine on over night actually and when i took it off it was extremely shinny no doubt, but as long as its dry im sure it doesnt matter how long you leave it on....

You will usually get hazing from NXT if you don't let it dry completely. All Meguiar's waxes should be applied, worked-in and then allowed to dry until they pass the Swipe Test.

Two coats of NXT are usually better than one as it will ensure an even finish.

Visit www.autopia.org and do some research there. Get yourself familiar with the detailing basics, ask questions on the forum, then decide what you are going to buy before jumping into purchases blindly.

Have fun!

NXT and Zaino are the same types of products, they're both liquid polymer sealants. Zaino does last longer though.
I was a happy Zaino user for 7 years, but had nothing to compare it to. After switching to a pc, and using different polishes, sealant, and carnauba waxes, I found a deeper wetter look. A little more work, but able to remove swirls, scratches and clean the paint better.

i did read their How to wax ur car section on autopia..and all the other section.
Also i read the DIY that PICUS wrote.

I was just little ignorent about how long to keep the wax on the car to haze and when to wipe it off.

Since it was my first time ever waxing my car I kinda Freaked out.
I choose NXt becaue a lot of guys here used it and said it was easy to apply.

So i did a little research about the wax I should use. I know tehr eare P21S, S100 and many other but as a beginer i felt comfortable using the NXT. Its just the time when I whould wipe the wax off tricked me.
