Prefer Zaino Z5 over Z2 for black
I read some here who prefer Z5 for black over Z2. I just prepped my black g35 and applied 3 layers of Z5 and it looks great. The Z2 gave too much of the plastic look in my opinion, but the Z5 really gives the black a wetter look without too much reflection. The only problem is I can see very thin vertical scratches from applying the Zaino...I have no idea how I'm getting these scratches. I use a pad supplied by Zaino and Microfiber towels from autopia.

I just detailed my car this past weekend.. Wash with Dawn... Clay.. Way with Z7.. Then two coasts of Z5 with Z6 in between each one. Finished with a coat of Z2. It was great. I loved the look when it was done. Went out Saturday nite and was proud of how the "G: looked. Whatever you do make sure to clay first before waxing. I will NEVER wax again without claying first. It makes a huge difference...
I was going to pay someone from the site to do it for me, but decided it would be more relaxing doing it myself. Just make sure you set aside plenty of time so you can do it without rushing..
Do a couple of coats of Z5 and Z2...

I have had a similar experience with the Z2 vs. Z5. From my experience, I use the Z5 on the darker cars and the Z2 on the lighter. In general, the Z5 does seem to have a much less sterile look on the dark cars.
As for your scratches, if the Z8 does not remove them, then they may actually be scratches. In that case, you can search here or at autopia for how to remove them (if light, ZPC on a finishing pad at ~5 on the PC works well). Also be sure to look into what is causing them. Maybe your applicators are not as clean as you think.
