Bra...35S or C ??
Bra...35S or C ??
Bra's do not scratch paint! Dirt, sand, grit, bird poop, road grime and industrial polutants will scratch.
I've had numerous Bra's, all Colgans and have had good luck with all. Any problem was due to my lack of attention to a wet bra, a dirty bra or a loose bra.
Tips if you wear a bra:
Proper installation is key, wash the car, get it clean, claybar or whatever..it should be "baby butt" slick before you wax it, yeah wax it, the slicker it is the better. If you have a slick finish, all waxed up, it makes it harder for dust and small grit to get trapped between the finish and the underside of the bra. The more wax the better the barrier.
Put it on correctly! Heres where most of your scratches will come from, bad install! Sweat, grunt, twist, stretch, just get it on right. Make sure it's tight, think about what the wind will do to it at 60-80 miles per. Visualize how the wind flows over the bra and car. Watch what it does when you get behind that semi at 70 mph. Just remember, If a dirty bra is allowed to move around on your G at 70 on the 005...it becomes a "sander", get it! Follow the dang install instructions, they made it and should know how it's supposed to fit.
Keep it dry, keep it dry, KEEP IT DRY! If forcast says rain, get it off before you go. If you get caught...just get it off as soon as you can and let it dry. Ready for a wash? Pull it off, shake it out, and shake it out again. Look at it, outside and underside. Pick off the big pieces. Hand wash only...never in tha machine...duuh!! Wash outside only, vacum underside. IMO, washing the underside only futher imbeds grit and grime in the underside fabric. Open it up and let it "hang dry"..never in tha machine....duuh!! Make sure it's dry. Think about water and how hot it gets between the bra and the hood if it's 90 degrees out! Kinda like pouring boiling water on that DG or DP paint job. Do ya kinda see why some paints yellow under bras after a while....boiling water and dirt!!
Maintenance...look at it weekly, check the fit, hardware, hooks and all. Put some vinyl protector on the outside if it needs it. If you notice something wrong fix it or try and determine why. Remember..if you think it's dirty...it is! If you think it's wet..it is! Take steps to remedy the situation an you will have a good relationship with you bra.
I've had good luck with bra's..hope you do too!!
