Hey Wil,
My rear tint, it's 3M ColorStable 35 all around, has a few wierd spots in it, you can only see them in the rear view mirror, they don't show up just examining the window, I took it by the tint place that did it, and we could not see them, even on close exam, but they show up in the mirror, they look like "rough" spots in the tint. Geez, you think it's anything or just an illusion? Wish I could take a pic and show it here, but can't seem to capture it. Thanks!

Which window are you seeing these spots? It doesn't sound like it's the rear windshield bc if you could see it from that distance, then it should be visible up close. If these "rough" spots are on the doors, then it's likely to be dust spots, where dust got trapped between the film and the glass. There's nothing much you could do about dust that got in. However, if what you're talking about are white spots............then there's something you could do about that. Likely, it's tiny air pockets where air got trapped bc the squeegeeing wasn't thorough enough. Other than these little problems, I can't really tell what the problem is unless I see it in person.

Oops, been a long day..........forgot to tell you how to get rid of those white spots..............just bring it back to the shop and have them push them down w/ a squeegee.

Rear windshield, yeah, I know, it doesn't make sense that they are visible like that. You could be right, it may be dust spots. No, no white spots, these guys are pretty good with those, I had my last three vehicles tinted by them, this one was by them through the dealer though. I may try again and see if I can take a pic of it, maybe tomorrow when I wash the car! Thanks!

I tried taking a pic of the tint, but it doesn't show the spots I see, you may be right, it may be some dust or even maybe some lint, I say lint because last time I washed my car, I left some lint on the inside of the windshield, and at first when I saw it in the sun, it looked very similar to what I see in the tint, it's not that big a deal I guess, and it's at the bottom of the rear lite, could just be the angle the glass is at there too! Thanks!

If it's lint, the shop didn't clean the glass enough before they applied the film. The glass must be clean before installation..........just about anything will show up on tint. Glad to help!
