i've used both. chamois is better, but i like cotton towels. my buddy uses a leaf blower which is awesome. no water spots for him.

Waffle weave is only a method of allowing the mf to pick up more water. The key with mf drying towels is to get good ones, like the real big blue waffle weave.

I first use my leafblower to get off most of the water, then follow-up with my wax as you dry with a waffle weave mf towel.
I sometimes use my absorber which I like a lot.

It's just a silicone squeege, works like one of those window cleaners or windshield wiper. It's super soft so it won't scratch your paint. But becareful and keep it clean so dirt doesnt' get trapped and rubbed into the paint. Take a slow and steady pass and it removes absolutely every single drop of water. It's way faster then anything else and leaves a streakfree, lint free finish.
