Teach Me How to Wash Cars
Teach Me How to Wash Cars
Someone please gimme a step by step on how to wash wax and polish my Black 07 Sedan...ill do whatever it takes and buy whatever but being this is my first black car I have no clue what im doing. Most of my other cars were silver so I could basically dry the car with sand paper and not worry about streaks. (jk of course)
i have noticed alot of guys that have lighter color cars dont take as good of care to their cars as people with dark colors. Reason being is that they cannot see whats being done to the paint and they dont realize whats going on.
First thing if you have black paint and your washing your car do not wash it in the sun...the soap dries extremely fast from the heat and you will have soap spots and runs all over your car. Always either do it in the shade or right before the sun goes down when its not as hot outside. Also be sure to wash in a back and forth motion, dont go in circles...thats how you will get deep swirl marks.
After you have washed it i would recommend picking up a couple of drying tools. There is one called "the obsorber" and the "california jelly blade" to make sure that you get off all the water...or you will have water spots and they are very noticable and anoying.
As for waxing same thing applies from the first step. Be sure you do it in a shade area where the paint is cool and not hot. If you do not have a buffer and you are doing it by hand just make sure to apply it in a back and forth motion and take it off the same way you put it on.
Hope this helps
