I've been searching for information on window tints and going to tinting shops around San Diego. What I have been interested is a metallic tint IE the platinum plus tint, but i'm wondering about the effect on my radio. Is it fact that it ruins reception with a metallic tint? Also, on another note, how does a black tint on a black G35 look? Lastly, what is a good price? This one shop i went to charges $350 for all the windows except the front one. I know it's expensive but it is the one that infiniti dealership recommended. Secondly, they apparently tint the entire window opposed to just the viewable part. Another shop just tints to a little below the viewable window. Should I pay more for the security of the full window tint? Or do I just go cheaper?

Don't know best way to choose a good shop either.

 

I'm from San Diego as well. I heard all the places down here are pretty expensive, so I went up to LA to get my tint done. I think it's worth it, paid $140 for metallic tint on all 5 windows. The place is called California Window Tint. Let me know if you want further information on it. Dunno if you wanna drive all the way up there though..
