Need some help - a ding on the driver side column

Hey all, fairly new here and I just recently purchased a used 05 g35x with one minor problem - a ding on the driver side column roughly in the middle. (it runs diagonal) This column is located towards the front of the driver side window.

i'd say it's roughly half the size of a dime

I spoke with my close friend of the family who went to the car auction to get it for me and he's telling me it's going to be nearly impossible to fix. I'm looking for everyones opinions as to what you think I should do in order to get this problem resolved. I'm willing to do whatever it takes in order to get this fixed.

There's nothing worse then getting in your car every day and seeing the damn thing, which is what upsets me the most. I'll be able to post pictures of the ding later on in the week hopefully thursday or friday if anybody needs clarifaction as to what exactly i'm talking about.

my apologies maybe you misunderstood me or I just did a really crappy job of explaining it. What I consider the piller is the column that runs diagonal up the front of the driver side window.

My bad, just did a really bad job of explaining where the ding is located.

i think that piece is removable. i don't know how a pdr guy would get any leverage on it, but you could always give that a go. if not, you can take it to a bodyshop without having to take the whole car in. i am assuming you are talking about a coupe, correct? also, the section you are talking about is called an a-pillar.

No - it is not a coupe as mentioned in my first post i'm talking about a g35x.

I don't even have a clue as to how some moron could manage to produce a ding on this column in the first place and apparently its a real pain in the *** to try and fix. Just trying to see if anybody has any experience and or luck doing something like this.

i will tell you that it is a very easy fix for a bodyshop. a pdr guy probably will not be able to get to it.
