wheel wax

what do ya'll recommend to protect RacingHart rs-721 wheels, machined black finish. I don't know if its anodized or powder coated or neither...i see people talking about wheel wax or mothers polish...let me know what ya'll think..trying to protect the shine and lip of wheel.

I personally haven't used wheel wax, however I have been completely happy with Zaino Z2 on my wheels.

I highly recommend wheel wax. Its like putting armor on your wheels and the brake dust just washes off with a hose. The only down side is that you REALLY have to follow the directions and put it on thin because its a biatch to get off. Gives a great long lasting (6 months easy) shine and protection.

I originally used Zaino on my wheels and switched to Wheelwax and found a huge difference for the wheels. They seem to stay much cleaner and I only put a couple of applications on a year.
I found the wheelwax a big improvement especially in winter on my winter rims where I never really got a chance to give them a thorough cleaning during the winter months. It gave them good protection from the road salts and the gunge rinsed off easily.

It has helped with reducing the amount of Brembo dust and ease of cleaning. And that's saying a lot with the amount of black these things kick up.

Good info guys. It sounds like I'll have to try Wheel Wax.

thanks for the help..i guess wheel wax is the only option...is there more than one kind or just one? does it matter on the type of finish the wheels are? they are not chrome..its the racinghart rs-721..i got the machined black finish...i think the lip is polished...

Wheelwax has a FAQ section on this page: http://www.wheelwax.ca/pages/contact.html

Besides Wheelwax I have also heard of good results with Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

Both product work well, we stock both. From my experience, I enjoy working with the Poorboy's Wheel Sealant slightly better than Wheel Wax. I think the results are a hair better and smells amazing too! Can't go wrong with either one though.
