your car will likely get fine scratches if it is dirty and you use a car cover. This is especially true if its windy and the cover buffets against the car.

There are 'mats' sold at per store to discourage cats / dogs from jumping up on furniture.

Urine Stain:
May appear as a cloudy splash mark on the surface, and caused by an animal marking its territory;
urine contains Uric Acid (ph 5.0) and should be neutralised as soon as feasible as acid is a corrosive and will etch and discolour and/or stain the surface.
Methodology
•Use an alkaline solution of baking soda/water to neutralize the acid.
•Thoroughly rinse surface with a slightly alkaline car wash concentrate
•Rinse thoroughly with low-pressure clean water
•If necessary use a polish to restore the lustre of polished metal and prevent re-oxidation

You could pull a Magyver and rig a motion sensor to a watering hose that sprays your hood when the cat gets up there. Of course, then you'd have water spots...

They think their cat should be able to roam that a load of horse dung. Through with my rant and btw good hunting.
Easy there killer - no one said this cat even had an owner.

They have support groups for folks suffering from cat rage. Look it up..

Felines vs Carcovers..........?

If you buy a quality car cover like one from California Car Cover (Noha type)
you won't have any more issues with the cat scratching your car. Plus their
covers will not scratch your car....ever! Keeping your car in the garage is
the ultimate fix but until you buy a condo/house the car cover will doooo!

The only time my Bengals are outside is when they are being walked on their leashes. I wish I could say the same about some of the dogs in my neighborhood.

a family of 2 cats and 3 kittens lives in our basement (apartment complex) and every night I get at least 2 of the bastards sleeping on my car. When I dont wash the car for a while, I wake up to kittah paws all over the ride, I've gotten quite used to it, they haven't damaged anything yet.
