I really like the look but the damn cops!

I look for them [cops] to get even stricter now that we(Ohio) have legal concealed guns!

Re: for those who want tint on your car . . pics

I just had my black/willow sedan tinted with Forumla One, Ultimate, 38%. Here are my observations. From the outside looking in, the tint had a green hue to it. As I sit in the vehicle and look out, the tint has a green hue to it. As I sit in the vehicle and look at my willow interior as the sunlight shines in, the interior looks like it has a green hue to it. I'm not at all happy about the green associated with this tint. My interior has lost the nice, willow color, and my windows look green. I'm disappointed/frustrated and considering having the tint removed. My girlfriend has Madico (not sure which variety) and her windows look neutral. Anybody have any comments on this situation?

That is normal w/ Formula One...........actually Formula One uses high-end Llumar film, but it sill gives off that green wash color because of their dying process and type of metal they use in their film. So, if you're wondering if it's just the tint job, then your answer is no..........it's how Llumar film looks at certain angles and lighting. Hope this helps.

Do other films, such as the Madico Onyx, do this? Or are they more neutral?

One of Solargard's line also does this, but I don't remember which one it is. These are the two brands that I've seen do this, but keep in mind that this doesn't mean that their films' are poor in quality.

None of Madico's line has this effect. If anyone's curious about Madico's results, you're welcome to inspect my car at the cruz on the 13th...........

How come the sedan in the photos that appear earlier in this topic look green. That sedan is supposed to have Madico 35% on it and it looks just the same as my Formula One.
If I end of changing to Madico Onyx, will my windows look neutral/more charcoal? Will I notice a difference in quality? Is the Madico Onyx fully metallized?

Re: for those who want tint on your car . . pics

It's likely the combination of the interior color and the weather the day the pics were taken that gave it that slight green look. However, none of Madico's films have that green wash look in certain angles.

Madico's Onyx series will give it more of a true black / neutral look. If the smoked look is what you like, then you should consider Charcool by Madico.

Performance is about the same between Formula One and Madico's Onyx Series.

Formula One, Madico, and Advantage tints

I went to visit a Madico distributor/installer today. He took one look at my car's tint (Formula One Ultimate 38%) and said that it looks green. He showed me an example of the Madico Charcool and the Madico Onxy. The Charcool was very similar to the Formula One, but the Onyx looked liked a blue-base tint. I held a sample of of the Formula One and the Onyx up to the interior of the car (willow), and the Formula One looked green and the Onyx looked like a much more blue-based charcoal.

He also showed me a new tint called Advantage. His business is now distributing it. It looked like a pretty good tint (truly more neutral than both the Formula One and the Onyx) , but he didn't have any specs on it. He says it has a lifetime warranty against color change, but I'm not sure I would take the risk on a very new product.

Re: Formula One Ultimate 38%

Here are how my windows turned out with Formula One Ultimate 38%. Any thoughts/comments on the color?
