NE1 try to polish the black shiny door pillars?

On autopia I saw someone tape that area like he was going to do this on another car but I wanted to see who and how you guys did it. Same procedure as with the rest of the car I assume?

Jeff, I do my door pillars just like every other part of G. They get polished, sealed, and waxed.

Is the pilar a flat black or gloss color?

The pillars are a normal gloss black with clearcoat over top like any other panel. I've had swirls on my pillars in the past and they are removed with your PC just like any other panel.

Danka. Dang. I'll have to try not to sling all the goop all over the car now. I already finished polishing/waxing the whole car.

Thanks Garnet. I taped them off and went to down. I initially thought they were clear coated. Nope! Ran with the orange + OP polish. Then blue + OP opti-seal. Not 100% perfect but 10x better than before.

I guess they're like the mirrors and the rocker body molding. Not clear coated.

Eh? The body colored mirrors and body painted matched rocker molds aren't cleared? I don't think so.

My 03 sedan has black rockers. Those are just black plastic. No paint at all. But I would think if they were painted, they would have clear on them.

Are you sure Deane, I thought they were clear coated. I could be wrong though.

If they are metallic, then they almost have to be clear coated. You need a clear to cover the metallic for the flake and UV protection.
