I just emailed Zaino about the fieldcrest situation and what they recommend as a replacement. Their resposne was "Any high grade..high quality towels... "

LOL, you mean Wamsutta? I don't care what Zaino says, you don't have to cut the edges off the towels, just make sure the labels are gone, that's ridiculous, of coures they will fray imediately, I always used to use old bath towels for my drying towels, I got sick of untangling them after each wash, and watching them shrivel away to nothing, his advice leaves something to be desired IMO!

I found my fieldcrest towels on clearance at Bed Bath& Beyond for like 10 bucks this past weekend here in Houston.

Just make sure you only pick up the white ones ... any of the colored towels have dyes that can bleed onto your paint!

Yes, and make sure you never attempt to clean any interior things with a dyed towel, I wound up staining a lighter colored seat with one some time ago, kept me away from them!!

100% Egyptian cotton is supposed to be the best. Soft, durable and absorbent. Best kind of bath towels to buy I believe.
