Yup. Cars look great a few hours after an application.

yes, as many as you want. It's debatable about how much better the shine is after 2-3 coats.

depends on the wax. alot aren't layerable because they have cleaners in them to prep the surface for bonding. Layering should also be done 24 hours apart.

First wash the car

Then wipe it down with 50/50 Ipa/Water (Rubbing alcohol)

Then layer the first layer (thinly) of wax in a back and forth motion, not circular motion and buff off (Depend when you want)

Wait 12-24 hrs to apply the second layer (thinly) of wax to the car and then buff off (Depend when you want)

You should only need Two layer's, But you can do more if you want. It's Just to make sure that there's even coverage and the whole car got wax.

in my city there's no point in waxing and keeping your car clean, even in the summertime it rains on and off... the car gets dirty soon as you wash it, I envy you SoCal guys

Hey I live in the desert and I detail my car. It's because I just love cars.

The point of waxing and/or sealing isn't to keep your car clean, it is to protect your paint finish from UV, bird bombs, acid rain, water spots, etc. If you don't wax and/or seal your paint, you are leaving it completely unprotected from the elements.
