Question I had a little boo-boo

I had a little incident with my garage door the other day while backing my car in. I got a little too close to the seal around the garage door and ended up "transferring" some of the paint from the house on to the side of my front bumper. The good news is that there is no body damage nor does there appear to be any damage to my paint. Unfortunately, I now have some house paint on my car. I got some of it off with Liquid Glass wax. However, I can't seem to get all of it off. I bought some Meguir's Paint Cleaner, however, that didn't do much.

Any tips out there to help me? So far, all I have used is my hand. However, I have an orbital buffer. Do you think that will help? Is it safe to buy some kind of clearcoat safe polishing compound? Or am I stuck taking it to a body shop?

Thanks!

You are on the right track. I myself had to buff off another car's paint-at first it looked like I am screwed, but all of it came off. Get something with mild, clear coat safe abrasives. Menzerna Intensive Polish is what I use.

You need to move on to a more aggressive polish. Liquid Glass has very mild abrasives in it but not enough to remove the house paint.

Try first some Meguires Scratch X by hand. If it doesn't work, try using it with your orbital buffer with a mild cutting pad.

Are you sure it's an orbital polisher like a PC 7424?

It's just an orbital waxer.
