recently i've been interested in the M3 spoiler that has been said that it would fit the G sedan. i've done some digging and i've decided to buy a E46 Sedan M3 type lip spoiler. the coupe and the sedan spoilers are in different length. i've looked at the previous posts and wrote down a few websites that sell these for around 120 to 130 dollars.

i went on ebay a couple days ago and saw the same replica spoilers that were selling for 30 to 40 dollars but stated that they were made out of polyurethane, which is usually very bendable high quality plastic.

my question to you guys is that whether i should buy a polyurethane one for cheaper, try to fit it on the G, and if it fits, paint it and put it on? or is this a bad idea because of quality? the issue i'm dealing with is that there have been many trials and errors of trying to fit this thing on before, but if it's made of polyurethane, then it should be a little more bendable and i'd be able to fit it to the G specifics. what do u guys think? or should i just buy an OEM material one?

I just bought one of those from ebay. I decided to just try it out since it's only 50 bucks. I'll let you know how it fits when i get it. If it's flexible, i don't think fitting it would be a problem. The concern is after you paint it if the paint is going to crack if you bend it. Most say if you paint it with flex agent then it should be ok. I'm going to bring it to my body shop and see what he thinks.

funny how you can buy those for $50 max on ebay and the same size/style Impul lip runs for almost $500.

Hey all. I just recieved my M3 spoiler and it does look like you have to bend it a bit to get it to fit perfectly so i brought it to my body shop and the guy said he can heat it up with a heat gun and form it before he paints it. All this for just $40. I go to him all the time so that's why i get a good deal.

Aite it fits perfectly! All you have to do is heat it up a bit and it will form into the perfect curve. I'm picking it up tomorrow. I'll post pics when i get it installed.
