Leather treatment for G35 coupe?

The dealer i bought my 03 G35 coupe said that they're offering me a "leather treatment," for my interior of the car.. any kinda liquid will sit on top of the leather, it iwll not absorb..they're tryin to charge me like $150 for this..ive heard i can get a similar thing at Wal mart or auto store thats not oil based...has anyone got a suggestion on what to use for the leather to make it softer and not fade away over time?

Just go to the nearest auto parts store and get some Lexol cleaner and conditioner.

Out of all the products that I have used, I found out that Meguairs Leather Foam works the best. Use it one or twice a month and you'l b good. They used to sell them in stores but now it's only available online.

I like lexol. Could never find meg's leather stuff in stores for some reason, so I ordered lexol after hearing good things about it. Zaino is also good too from what I hear.

Water will not absorb into the leather anyway. Infinitis have what is called "coated" leather (most cars do). There is a top coat applied to the leather which does not allow moisture to penetrate.

Exactly, leather conditioners will make minimal differences, the key is to get UV protection onto them such as Aerospace 303

Ive heard from an upholestry guy, that leather conditioners dont work. Instead, they are worse as they increase the chances of your leather cracking. I dont know how true this holds, but hes been working with leather all his life.

Sorry to threadjack. MikeyC and redlude. What do you use to remove stuff out of the little hole is the seats. I already tried a toothpick, soft bristle and meduim bristle toothbrush, Porter cable leather brush attachment, Mircofiber & Terry applictor, Microfiber & Terry towels and Viynl & Leather brush and each one I use Lexol leather cleaner and Meguiars APC diluted on it and it still there.

Leather Care / Cleaning / Maintenance– These articles are written to help detailer’s make informed decisions when selecting leather care products for automobiles.

I had always advocated the oil-based leather care products as the most advanced but after attending various seminar's and some intensive hands-on as well as theoretical training in leather care (inc tanning, care, restoration and preservation) and I would like to share the knowledge / experience gained to help dispel the hype and myths surrounding automotive leather care

Honest opinion or merely advertising? Commercialism brings with it concerns of honesty and true representation. In other words, it’s difficult to know what is true when someone is motivated by income, i.e. directly targeted at product sales, more so than an unbiased opinion

My best advise; research other options and products, test them and then make an objective decision based upon factual information not hype or brand loyalty. I would also strongly suggest that you verify any information that I or anyone else shares with you.

I am neither a vendor, nor a salesperson pretending to be an educator, I'm a detailer / author, and therefore there is no reason for me to hype products; just to provide factual information -http://www.detailuniversity.com/

Schucks in Eastgate is "supposed" to carry it but I gather you order online? Cheaper than the 303 website store?

I purchased from Danase.com, but I previously purchased from a spa supply store, just looked up a local supplier on their webpage

The thing is I have a ton of leather care crap. I'll check if it has UV protection. If yes, I'll just keep using it.
