I went with Scotch guard when I first bought my G and it wears off very quickly and wont truely keep the dirt and grim off.

I went out and bought some clear mat covers. Custom fit to fit exactly over the willow OEM mats. They never move and are very easy to clean (wipe down with some all purpose cleaner)
To this day, my mats are stain free because of them.

I dunno maybe you didn't apply it right? It works great for me I reapply it every 3-4 months.

I also did the scotchguard thing. Only one application in the last two years. My mats are pretty clean. Dealer did clean them once. I think it helps keep them clean.

thats silly... those mats were made to get dirty... just buy new ones every 2 years, they are only $50 or so... (at least for the coupe- you dont need the rear ones because they dont get used too often)
