My husband scratched my rim - help!
I hate letting my husband drive my car because he doesn't respect it like I think it should be respected. For example, he will park it next to an old beat up mini-van, which is just asking for a door dent. Anyway, last night, we went out on a date, and he insisted on driving. When parking at the mall, he grinded my rim into concrete. There is about four inches messed up on the edge of the rim. Can this be fixed? If so, how much will it cost, and is it worth fixing? I would hate to get it fixed and he do it again!! I wish I could take his keys away to my car, but he is the one paying for it.
New twist to a common problem.
Any pictures? Most of the time, they can be fixed, but I've heard it is tough to match the finish on the stock wheels making them more expensive than other wheels. A lot of people are going to after market wheels, so the stock ones should be pretty easy to come by now as well.

Take to your dealership, they usually have rim repair specialists come on site for repairs.
I had my front rim on my coupe done twice....each time I couldn't tell it was repaired.
Trying to do it yourself will be very hard to exact match the color....so, leave it for the experts, or do all 4 rims over.

haha thats funny, the MAN scrapes the rims and the wife gets mad! u should make sure he learns how to park before scratching ANYMORE wheels! YOU SHOULD SHOW him yourself how you park it and make sure he does it the right way or this will happen again!!!!

Sounds like you and your hubby have some problems if you've communicated your concerns to him about the car and how he uses it and he continues to disregard them. It's not that he doesn't respect the car, the problem is he doesn't respect YOU or anything you say (as far as the car goes apparently).
The advice others have given you about how to fix your rim is good, I agree with what they've said. In addition you might want to consider trading the hubby in for a newer model, this time get one that has ears and is respectful.
Does anyone know the cost for the dealer to fix this? I can call them tomorrow.
It's not that my husband disrespects me. He just thinks of a car as an object that is replaceable. I feel connected to my car, so when it gets a scratch, it is painful for me, too. I won't have to ask him to pay for it... our money is combined... which is great for me since he makes more than twice as much as me.
I will get it fixed if it is less than $100. I don't want to pay more than that with the risk of it happening again.
I would have never pulled my car in like he did.... I would have swung it out instead of trying to cut the corner. I thought men were supposed to be able to drive better than women?

Wow, that's a headline you don't often see - my wife hates driving my car because she's required to be so careful (from her perspective...
)
Anyway, on my Maxima I had a wheel repaired and it was good as new - no sign of the repair. However, the same place told me that because the G Sport wheels (don't know about Journey) are hyper-silver, and that paint is made in Europe blah blah, it's hard-to-impossible to match. He also said that there IS a paint in the US that matches, but it tends to fail quickly.
So...another forum member said that hyper-silver repairs are possible, so who knows what's reality. Definitely worth contacting local wheel repair guys and finding out, but listen closely to what they say, and if possible visit their location and see work on similar wheels.
Cost for my repair on the Maxima was maybe $100?

Check here - someone's selling a set off a G35x but may split them if he gets enough interest to warrant spltting them up:

Give your dealer a call, and ask if they have a rim repair specialist that comes on site to do repairs.
if you can, get the number, and try to deal direct with the outside vendor, you may be able to save some money eliminating the dealer as the middleman.
