NO MORE SWIRLS ON MY BLACK G35
Got swirls from the dealership as they washed the car (I know because I know how to wash w/o swirling the paint. I used to work for my cousins detail shop)
I used a 4 stage method that worked like a charm:
Materials/ Equiptment
Orbital buffer, Towels, Menerzas Intensive Polish, Meguires Paint Cleaner, Liquid Glass, Mothers Paint Glaze/Sealer, Mothers Wax, Spray bottle filled with water.
It took all day but here is what I did.
1)Wash with dish detergent (cleans the paint well)
2)Dry vehicle thoroughly
3)Using spray bottle of water, spray mist over the area you wish to treat.
4) Apply light coat meguires paint cleaner. Rub until light haze, continue until it is almost being removed as you rub.
5) Apply Menerzas Intensive polish by hand using short rapid side to side strokes.
6) Use buffer to remove when the polish dries.
7) Apply liquid glass by hand.
8) Use buffer to remove
9) Use buffer to apply menerza's Intensive polish
10) Use dry towel to remove when dry.
this is when my swirls dissapearead paint had a nice glassy finish.
11) Apply and remove (by hand) Mothers Sealer/glaze
12) Apply and remove (with buffer) Mothers wax

Re: NO MORE SWIRLS ON MY BLACK G35
My bad.. I had a brain fart for a few minues... It's called menzerna intensive polish. I used liquid glass as a final polish, but Menzerna also makes one of it's own. I've always been impressed with liquid glass in the past so I used it instead.

Re: NO MORE SWIRLS ON MY BLACK G35
ha ha ha My G is all I can handle.. I watched the guys at my cousins detail shop remove swirls from 3 cars, but I, being so **** about my G, wanted to do it myself. So that's where I got those steps from. It's seems lie a lot but it is really no once you get going. And it's typically a once every 3 year thing as you don't want to intensively polish you car too often. Just keep it waxed really good/often and that will aid you in keeping swirls off in the first place. I got swirls from the beginning as I took my car in for a chip in the bumper that was put on while being shipped. It was right after it rained so they also washd it. It was then that I started noticing the swirls.
