To clean the trim. You can use a trim cleaner or a tire gel or dressing to remove the white spot left on the black rubber trim.

try using vegetable oil. It sounds weird but it works. It is basically the same things as the peanut butter trick, the oil in the peanut butter takes the wax/polish off of trim. The vegetable oil is just easier to clean up than the peanut butter unless you have a dog.
