I'm planning on doing a show next month and trying to come up with a cool way to hold the hood up. Definitely don't want to use the stupid factory stick. Any thoughts?

What about wrapping the hood stick in a fabric that matches or complements one of the colors on your car?

take your stock springs, i think you have an upgraded suspension and paint them or use them to prop the hood up. I use it for my car at shows.

I've seen that done before and it looks good, but my suspension is still stock.

this guy has developed some hood shocks for his 350z. maybe worth looking into.
