hey, I know Zaino and Crystal Gaurd are the best polish/waxes but I dont really want to spend that much $$ so i was wondering what is the difference between meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax and Meguiars Gold Class wax ??

It's been a while since I picked up a container of Gold Class, but it's a more traditional wax, should contain some carnuba. They have a #26 which is a carnuba. I think the Gold Class line seeks a balance of all that is good.

I have been using NXT, I am also a Z user for the last two plus years. I really like the NXT, doesn't seem as durable, weekly beading is the measure I use, but it is extremely easy to apply and remove. Meqs. considers it their high tech polymer. I have used their #20 polymer in the past, but this is much better. I would definitely recommend it. If you get the spray booster, spray it on a cloth vice directly on the paint. It can make a noticeable mess in the nooks and crannys. I have been looking for the car wash, but haven't found it yet. I have heard good things about it as well.

I use the Gold Class wash on my non-Z car, good stuff as well.

What's your color? I think the NXT will look best on dark colors. I use it on a dark navy blue.

Beautiful! What other products do you use? I have black, and it seems to not like most waxes. How old is your car? It looks brand new.

I'd say that was two words. (he-he) I tried to find it at Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I guess I will be looking for it again asap!! ;-)

I used it and I was sold. It has been proved it last six months at least, and it is fully synthetic. Top it with Klasse SG you will get more protection. It is easy to go on and off too.

 

I've used Meguiars Gold Class since December 2002 & very happy with the Shine & Protection. I think I'll try the NXT though...

<hr></blockquote>A regional sales manager from Meguiars spoke at the DFW meet about a month ago, and he said that the NXT was isn't meant to bead water; it's meant to sheet it. He said he has people come up to him and say, "I really like the new NXT wax, but it doesn't bead," to which he replies, "It's nice huh?" They designed it to sheet water, so it's easier to dry, etc.

I like to list what I use as a measuring standard so folks know where I am coming from. Despite what their intent was, it does bead quite nicely, does that mean it's gone when the beading is less, maybe not. It's just something I look for and like. Appreciate the info.
