My review of FK 425
After the discussion of anti-static QDs, and hearing lots about FinishKare 425, I finally decided to buy it and try it out. First thing this morning, gave the G a good wash, then went at it with the FK425. Just for background, I currently have a few layers of Z2 on the car, and have always used Z6 as my QD...no matter what my sealant/wax is. I just have really enjoyed working with Z6(and Z8 from time to time) and haven't found anything that I like better.
First thing I noticed is that they are big bottles(32 oz) and the spray nozzle comes with them. However...I think its cheap nozzle, or the bottle is just too big, because it fits funny in your hand when you're trying to spray. Not a huge deal, just not comfortable. I think its just too big of a bottle, especially when full.
Application was super easy. The bright pink fluid showed up well on my IP, but wiped dry quite easily. As with most products when I first use them, I think I used too much. Probably as much as I would use for a cleanup, not just a post-wash shine. Still though, even with too much product, wiped away clean and the shine was nice. I had to go into the office for a while, so left it and came back to go to work. First impressions were a good shine, and extremely slick. I don't know if it was mental, but I felt like dirt and dust would just slide right off the finish. Only problem I had was that it was for the most part odorless. I know that is most likely a good thing...but I have just become very appreciative of the smell of Z6.
After I got to work I was checking my car out in the 10am sun, and I have to admit that the shine was beautiful. Looked as if I had just done a few layers of Z2. It really brought the plasticity back from the Z2. Not sure if it was just enhancing the Z2, or if 425 has the same look, but it was excellent. Much more of a deep shine than Z6 I think, and the reflection was just as good if not better than Z6. Per the bottle, the reflection and depth only gets better with more applications. And again, the slickness was just as good if not better than Z6. I'm very interested do do another wipdown tomorrow morning.
So I definitley think its a great QD that I will no doubt buy again. The next review will be the big one...does it truly repel dust better than a traditional QD and my typical Z6? I've put about 30 miles on the car so far, and the rear bumper has very little dust so far...but its only 30 miles. More review to come after some time working with it.
Just wanted to share my thoughts on this product that I know I've been wondering about for a long time.
FYI...they also give you a free trial of any other product when you buy. I got the interior stuff as it looks like a similar product to 303, but is anti-static. You have to apply, let it dry, then buff though, so I didn't have time. I'll review on that later too.

I tried it and it repels dust for maybe two days. Also I got rid of the nozzle that came with mines. Just change it to a more output one. Also the FK 108 does last longer then 303, but doesn't spread as easy as 303

I got caught up using my Zaino Z6 again(has always been my go to) over the past 2 months...until today...I brought back out the FK425. This stuff is truly amazing. So easy on and off, and so slick. Even if it doesn't have any repelling properties, its still such a great product. So slick, with such a great finish. If you are looking for a new QD, definitely give this a go.

It does reduce the dust. I like the slick feel and shine. The smell takes a little getting used to. 100% better than Meg ultimate QD. I know all the autopian's rave about the FK. I'll give it a shot. $13 for 32oz bottle is not a bad price.

I've also been using my free sample of FK108. Its an interior product, very similar to 303. I like it a lot, reminds me very much of 303. Even down to the smell. Claims to have anti-static properties, and maybe its just my mind playing tricks on me, but my dash does seem less dusty than when I use 303 alone. I'm going to finish the bottle, then go back to 303 to get the full disparity between the two.
