water purifiers/de-ionizers

I did a search on this and it seems the most popular system here is the CRspotless one. And from the reviews it seems like a good one to buy. I don't mind spending the money that it cost to buy one; if it really does what it advertises, however with the way things are right now, I am search for an alternative at a lesser price. Here is the link to another water softner system.http://www.autogeek.net/clinhofianda.html
Does anyone have any experience using this system? Is there a diffrence between this one and the CRspotless one (since one is called a water softner and the other a de-ionizer?) Your thoughts on this system are appreciated. Thanks to all for taking the time to read this

they pretty much do the same thing

CR spotless does a better job of making the water as pure as possible though. If you've gone through any chemistry class, you'll know that DI water isn't the same as filtered. It's more like purified.

exactly except it can store i think 100 and 300 gallons variation instead of just letting you mist

the advantage of this is you can use this water to mix your dilutions and they'll be much more pure, increasing effectiveness and decreasing significantly the risk of side reactions which is very small to begin with anyway
