Black 350z detailed over the weekend

No its not a G but close enough right? Just got my foam cannon recently and this was the 1st car I've used it on and I must say I love it. Unless the car is pretty clean overall, you still need to do a traditional wash but it greatly reduces the chances of scratching the car IMHO.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take after photos! I got a call from my buddy at 2 am saying that his car got towed and he needed a ride. Ended up only getting 4 hrs of sleep that night. Owner came back right when I was finishing up and since I was running on fumes by then, I forgot. sorry guys...

Process

Pre-rinse with pressure washer
Foam cannon
2 bucket wash
Dryed with waffle weave/blow dryed crevices
clayed the car
Polish - Prima Swirl - Makita 9227c - Orange LC Pad
Fine Polish - Prima Finish - Makita 9227c - White LC Pad
Prima Amigo - Porter Cable 7336 - White LC Pad
Zaino Z2pro /w ZFX accelerator
Zaino Z8 Grande Finale Spray

Products
P21S Total Auto Wash - Used as degreaser
Prima Mystique Wash - Foam cannon soap
Menzerna Auto Wash - 2 bucket soap
Dryed with waffle weave/blow dryed crevices
Meguiars Wheel Brightener
Meguiars APC+
Meguiars Hyperdressing
3m dry/wet sandpaper 1200/1500/2000/2500 grit
Chemical Guys claybar
ONR clay lube
Black Wow
Prima Cut
Prima Swirl
Prima Finish
Prima Amigo
Zaino Z2 Pro /w ZFX accelerator
Zaino Z8 Grand Finale Spray

Equipment
Karcher 1850 psi Pressure Washer
Foam Cannon attachment
Rigid 5.0 hp shop vac
Makita 9227c
Porter Cable 7336

Before shot. Lots of chips on front bumper. If I ever get a black car, I would clear bra the front bumper and hood.

Pretty dirty wheels

Love my pressure washer especially for the wheels/wheel wells

Did I mention they were dirty?

Can't forget the wheel wells

It's snowing!

After 3 mins. Thick foam still clinging on and breaking up all that dirt!

A way to tell if there is wax protection is to see if there is any beading. Do you see any? I don't.

Now that the car is clean, lets see the true condition of the paint.

After claying half the trunk

Busting out the big guns. Rotary with Swirl on Orange LC pad.

Test panel turned out great. Now I just need to repeat this process with the whole car.

Another close-up

50/50 of the rear

Another 50/50. Notice how the polished side is darker. Even black can get blacker.

Hood 50/50

Lets get closer

Since you guys love 50/50's, here's another

Headlights really need to be restored. All hazy and yellow.

Nice and clear again.

Top view of the other headlight before.

And After.

Rear Before

Rear After

Rear Quarter Panel Before

Rear Quarter Panel After

Passenger Door Scratch Before

After wetsanding with 1200, 1500, 2000 & 2500 grit sandpaper, compounding, & polishing.

Thanks for looking. Sorry again about no after pics.....

OB 350Z Detailed....!

Nice job, you certainly use a lot of products. I guess when a car has been
abused for so long it takes a few to bring it back....there should be a law.
Just like child abuse, animal abuse there should be car police handing out
citations for abused cars....LOL

I wetsanded using 3m wet/dry sandpaper ranging from 1200 grit to 2000 grit. I followed by compounded them using 3.5" purple foamed wool and prima cut followed by orange 4" pad with prima swirl and then finally a white 4" pad with prima finish.
