Lug nuts recess water removal
Here's something that I discovered.
When I wash the stock wheels on my G35S, it is difficult to remove the last few drops of water that remain trapped in the recesses for the lug nuts. I bought some cans of "dust off" compressed air (cheap at Costco) and give a short blast into each lug nut recess. This drives out any remaining water so that my wheels do not water spot as soon as I drive. Maybe this is an old trick, but this is my first car with deeply recessed lugs...
The only "trouble area" for water spotting that I have yet to cure is the grille. It seems that no matter how thoroughly I dry between the "slats", as soon as I drive away, a bunch of water comes from out of nowhere and leaves water spots all over the chrome. Any suggestions for this one?

I thought I was the only one that uses a leaf blower on my car! My neighbours always look at me kind of funny though. Also works great drying the wheels and for those of us in winter climes, blowing off snow rather than scratching the paint with a snow brush.
