Tinting Problem!

I just got my windows tinted (35%) 2 days ago. This morning I checked all the windows to see if there are any problems with the tinting. I noticed on each window there are a couple of bubbles (a little bit bigger than the head of a pen). IS this normal? Should i wait couple more days till the tint is really dry and check again or should i call the installer and take the car back to get it fix?

I have had my last 4 vehicles tinted, and from my experience, any bubble there at first will still be there later, haziness in the film will change, but bubbles have always stayed, when you say the head of a pen, you mean the ballpoint? I don't know If I would be to concerned about that.

Yes ABQ: The size of the bubbles are a little bit bigger than the head of a ballpoint pen! I guess I shouldn't be too worry it. It's probably really hard to get it bubble free. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, but it's their job to get it bubble-free. I've never had bubbles in any of my cars that have been tinted. I'd wait a total of one week to see if they go away, I'd call the shop and inform them of the problem, and tell them I'm going to wait a total of one week to see if they get any smaller or go away. If they don't go away, go back into the shop and have it re-done.

If there are just a couple, all they have to do is stick them with a pin, and sqeegee them out, not completely redo the tint job for something that small, personally, I wouldn't worry about those tiny things anyway!

Re: Tinting Problem!

Sounds like they have a problem w/ dust. Usually, tiny little specs like that i sthe result of dust getting on the tint when they're installing. Depending on the size of the dots, they could generally be pushed down..........take it back and have them look @ it.
