Question about adding on a spoiler

Hey guys, I got my G35, but w/o the spoiler (no aero)... but I really want the look of that exact spoiler--is EVERYTHING G35 the best place to go for this? Or is there a cheaper solution? I know 450 is a great price, but is there anything better?

And how is the installation process?

Thanks!

Re: Question about adding on a spoiler

One last thing is--which body shop in SOCAL would do a great installation of the spoiler? and what would be the cost?

Re: Question about adding on a spoiler

I'm not ur what u mean by "exact spoiler" but if u want OEM spoiler look on ebay or spoilerdepot.com. BTW it doesn't cost that much for OEM spoiler on ebay, ~$200-$250 i think

04c, Black, AT, PIAA, AL padel, smoked clear corner, 6th grounded-wire, z-tube/pop-charger, UR pully, Data grille & Gialla spoiler (on order)

Re: Question about adding on a spoiler

i found a few spoilers on eBay for around 150--how is the paint match on this? My G is DG... and am wondering how is the material and overall quality? Because it is a lot cheaper than I imagined! Just wondering why it's cheap hehe

The color on my aftermarket matched perfectly..unfortunately, it leaked water into the spoiler a couple weeks after i got it. Which i learned is common with the aftermarket spoilers.

Having water tight integrity on a car is important.

The quality on the aftermarket ones is not the same as the OEM ones. The gasket and mounting system is totally different. Also the brake light assembly is not made as well. If you get an aftermarket one & it leaks, you will NOT be able to replace it with an OEM one unless you get a new trunk lid.

Also the OEM on comes with the underbody diffusers. You get what you pay for. Good luck

Re: Question about adding on a spoiler

i had my spoiler done at the dealer. i bought my g way back in nov 02 and there werent many g's available at the time. so i had to take what i could get. they had to order the spoiler which took 2 months and they built it into the price of the car. i paid i think 400 with install. sometimes its worth it to pay extra and get it done at the dealer. less hassels, oem parts, plus its warrantied.

Stock 5AT/ 20% Tint

Re: Question about adding on a spoiler

I got my spoiler installed for $425 also at the dealer and very happy with the install the whole thing took like 20 mins at most though. That included me and the installers convos about the car. Also The dealer threw in a free buffing detail job to make sure the car shined the same He did use my wax though lol. Yah you may pay $150 more than off e-bay then go get it installed. I had a ebay spoiler on my old car and while it wasnt bad you can tell a difference in quality then and now. It took my dealer like 3-4 days to get one.
